VPA inaugurates Rs 30 lakh gate-way at Convent Junction

Visakhapatnam: Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has decided to fund liberally as part of corporate social responsibility for development of Visakhapatnam by working closely with the district administration.
VPA recently handed over Rs 1 crore to City Police Commissionerate for establishing a cyber security research lab and announced construction of a marina near the cruise terminal. VPA Chairman M Angamuthu said the port is committed towards development and beautification of Vizag Port as well as Vizag City.
As part of this, VPA in hand in hand with the civic authorities is developing roads, pavements, meridians at some of the main junctions in the city and improving greenery and arranging lighting strips for better look of the port area during nights. Dr Angamuthu on Wednesday inaugurated a gate-way of the port at a cost of Rs 30 lakh at Convent Junction.
